Hello.
How are things?
I just noticed my Christmas decorations are still up…..
Hmmmmm.
Oh well, it’s almost that time of the year anyway.
It’s suddenly cold.
Like September hit and summer was like “I’m out” and bailed.
There’s already Thanksgiving stuff showing up in stores.
Pumpkin spice is all over again.
It’s wild.
This year just vanished.
I thought 2020 was too long because of… certain things happening.
But now we only have 3 months left in 2021.
Like, what happened?
Time is just flying by now that things are somewhat back to normal.
Anyways, things have been fine with me.
The family has calmed down.
Everyone isn’t in the hospital anymore.
Except for the grandfather.
But he should be coming home soon.
OH, there’s something new.
We got the grandparents and iPad!
AMAZING!
Unfortunately, they don’t have internet.
But we fixed that issue by getting an iPad that has cellular!
It’ll work anywhere.
We did this so that they had an easy way to manage things.
They pay all the bills by mail.
So, we are getting things set up in a way that they can do things digitally.
Then when the inevitable happens, we can take control of things easily.
That means they can watch my videos now!
AND THE CAN SEE MY PHOTOS!
So I guess it’s a good thing I haven’t made the video and photo of us cleaning out their house.
I don’t think they’d like me showing too much.
ANYWAYS!
Enough ramble.
ONTO THE PHOTO!
This is the end of my Journey.
I have arrived at peace.
The world is colorful.
I probably should have done this photo somewhere else but here in town.
Or at least, not with the river.
It’s not the best looking river.
I see a lot of lakes and lake homes.
I should go to one of those next time.
Besides that, this is a nice ending.
I was in a dark place.
Lost.
Wandering.
I’ve now come back into the light.
My journey is complete.
Editing wise, the photo was simple.
Nothing too complex.
A little contrast, a bump up in saturation, so on.
I did select myself in the photo and cranked up the pink levels on just me.
Just to make it stand out more.
COMPARE!
Hover your mouse (the computer one) over the original picture to see the changes I did.
If you're on a touchscreen device, just tap on the picture. You may have to tap more than once.
Wonderful.
Now the video.
There are two actually.
One is the ending of the series.
It covers the final touches I did at the end of the project.
You can click here to watch the video or just watch it below…
Lastly, there’s an extra video that has all the parts from this series in one video
You can click here to watch the video or just watch it below…
That’s all!
Normally at the end of a project, I’m always like “I don’t know what I’ll do next.”
This time is different.
I do know what I’m going to do next.
I couldn’t sleep one night so I experimented with my camera.
This lead to me starting the next project.
Since we are coming up on 13 years of photos, I’m thinking of taking things back in time.
Back to some of my first projects.
Here’s a sample photo from my tests.
We’ll see where this goes.
I don’t like to start things unless they are completely done and ready to go.
I’ll see you when the project is done.
