Picture 493 | 14 years of my face...

HEY!

What are you doing here?

Who let you in my house?

GET OUT!

Don’t make me get the spatula.

Oh, wait.

Sorry, my bad.

I’ve been on edge since someone left a pair of shoes on my front porch.

True story, here's the proof...

I’m always just staring out my windows…

Waiting for something else to happen.

So far, all I well.

ANYWAYS!

It’s been 14 years since I started doing these photos.

14 years!

OF MY FACE!

I do like going back and seeing the old photos.

Seeing how far I’ve come.

The journey of ME!

For Picture 1 to 493.

WE ARE ALMOST TO 500!

That’s… a big number.

FUN FACT!

I was going to stop after picture 400.

I think I mentioned that in it’s blog post.

I’ve had that thought for all the 100’s.

100, 200, 300, and so on.

Back then I was forcing myself to do them.

A new photo every week!

Once I stopped that, I felt much better.

It’s amazing how far things have gone.

How many things have changed.

This is why I do the photos.

I can go back and look at the past and remember how things were.

When my grandparents were alive… when my cats were alive…

….. maybe I shouldn’t look at the past too much.

We’ll keep it a yearly thing like it is right now.

Plus some of my old photos are absolutely atrocious.

I can’t stand looking at them.

Like I said, I was forcing myself to do them and I would shoot whatever random idea came to mind.

Most of the time, those ideas weren’t great.

HOWEVER!

Now that I take my time with the photos, they are properly planned out and executed.

I’M MAKING ART NOW!

I do them whenever there's a new story to tell in my life.

SPEAKING OF THE HOUSE!

I’ve been here for almost a year now.

Time is just flying by now that I’ve settled into my new life.

And that’s the story behind the photo for this post.

It was simply showing my life as it is right now.

New house, new car, new me.

After 14 years, this is where I’m at.

I’m on my own.

I’m at peace with the world.

All is well.

But if the neighbors don’t stop parking in the alleyway, I might have to start slapping people again.

And now trash is piling up in the other alley.

It’s a mess everywhere.

But that’s ok.

It is what it is.

The world isn’t going to end.

Yet.

But if they don’t get out of my way, I might start the zombie apocalypse early.

I was going to wait until next year.

…………….…….

………….

……..

.

I got off-topic, what was I doing?

RIGHT, the photo.

Normally I talk about how I shot the photo and whatnot, but there’s not much here.

I moved the car into the right spot, plopped the camera down, and shoot the photo.

And the only thing I did editing-wise was making the photo brighter.

A cloud came in right before I shot the photo and made it a little dark.

That’s it.

That’s all it needed.

I was trying to think of some sophisticated idea for a photo.

It's 14 years!

I need something epic!

This is why I vanished for two months.

I couldn’t think of an idea.

Then it hit me.

It doesn’t have to be complex.

It just needs to be about where I’m at now.

So that’s what I did.

I think it turned out well.

ONTO THE VIDEO!

The video covers what I’ve been doing these past two months.

Which wasn’t really a lot.

I eventually come up with the idea for the photo that you saw above.

Then the video ends.

That’s it.

You can watch the video below...

At the end of the video, I did talk about what’s next.

As I mentioned earlier, it’s been a whole year of being in the new house.

So, I’m going to do a photo for that in a month.

After that, I don’t know.

Christmas maybe?

Who knows.

I have some ideas for some new projects.

Maybe a project that’ll get me to 500 photos.

Maybe something with someone that might make a return.

We’ll see!

COME BACK IN A MONTH!
